Our team has extensive experience in airport development through all stages – planning, design, construction and subsequent dispute resolution proceedings. We have been involved in the construction of seven (7) greenfield international and regional airports as part of a national infrastructure improvement programme with an investment value in excess of USD 10b. CMA has ample experience in contract administration, commercial management and claims resolution on large airport programmes.
Our team was appointed to issue determinations on issues previously referred to Arbitration as part of an amicable settlement attempt between the Main Contractor and the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
Our team advanced through a 14 billion USD major roads and utilities programme where we investigated and drafted the Engineer’s historical claims and changes accumulated over the course of five (5) years into the Programme. In addition, our team assessed Contractor unresolved variations, claims and disputes across the Programme in close liaison with the PMC and the Authority, for a cumulative disputes value in excess of USD 150m.
Our team received multiple Expert appointments from Tier 1 Law Firm in a mediation between the Main Contractor and the Authority on a USD 100m dispute regarding the presence of underground uncharted utilities. The project comprises two (2) lines with a combined length in excess of 100 km, both underground and above ground.
Our team worked on a greenfield metro project comprising of three (3) new lines and their associated stations and facilities by providing claims drafting and dispute resolution services against the contracting authority.
Our team assisted multiple Subcontractors in the recovery of their entitlements against the Main Contractor and following the extensive delays incurred on a multi-billion USD Passenger Terminal Building Project. We assisted our Clients both during amicable settlement proceedings, as well as subsequent Arbitration, on a cumulative Subcontracts value in excess of USD 500m including civil works, airport special systems, cladding and façade works and conveying systems.
Our Clients were appointed as Main Contractors on various construction packages for an 8-lane motorway crossing an isolated mountainous area. Our team advanced claims for extension of time, prolongation costs, productivity losses and unforeseen ground conditions against the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the respective host country.
Our team worked on an 800 apartments two phased residential development, the first of its kind in Eastern Europe; the towers reached 26 levels (two underground) in a geotechnically unstable and seismic risk area. Our team provided contract management and cost control activities on site and the tendering of parts of the works and various subsequent packages on the project (facility management, leasing of commercial areas).

Our team worked on a 30,000 GLA commercial development where we provided cost management and contract administration services for the Client; the building includes anchor tenants (Carrefour, Cinema), food court area and various international tenants making their first entry in the market.
Our team provided claims drafting and dispute resolution services against the EPC Contractor, on behalf of the Subcontractor responsible for the fabrication of the piles and steel jackets package. The claim involved force majeure considerations and subsequent sail away difficulties caused by the global COVID pandemic.
Our team was appointed to assess a dispute between National Oil Company and the EPC Contractor responsible for laying subsea pipes and electrical cables between manmade islands in a major offshore oilfield in the Middle East.
